I prefer the nurse at the vet to cut them as they have a much stronger set of clippers than I have, but even so it takes some effort for them to do it and it stresses him. I thought I would buy this to try whilst we are all in solitary confinement and we can't go to the vet. I am thrilled. This grinder is amazing. I thought it would take me several goes to introduce it and it would take both of us to calm him down, but we sat outside and I turned it on, took his paw and let it vibrate against his leg as a start, and he sat there like an angel whilst I did every claw, including his dew claws. Still can't believe it. It is going to take me some practice to get good at shaping, but I can certainly recommend this as a game changer. It's brilliant.

I'll be honest, didn't initially hold out much hope as I had tried a different brand before and found it sadly lacking however this has really changed my mind. I have a pug who is a nightmare when having his nails cut and whilst he will not let us anywhere near his front paws we can sneakily at least do the back two. Noise is at a minimum and the grinder works quickly (which it has to for my dog). Well worth the money.
