The expandable feature was even more important than we realized....Most coatracks do not have screw holes 16" apart, so that they have to be put in drywall, which makes them flimsy. I am thrilled with this expandable coat rack! It’s exactly what I wanted. The wood is sturdy and the finish is pretty and natural looking. It came with everything we needed to hang it and installation was easy. The edges aren’t fixed to the wall- the middle three pegs are fixed tight to the wall so we hang heavy bags and coats from those. We use the edges for keys. I don’t think even a heavy coat would break the pegs on the edges though.

Pretty but very dark. I bought a similar product from another brand in this color but the other brand had a more weathered look. This has very heavy stain. It was a very easy fix though. I used some white vinegar on a rag and wiped it down to take off some of the stain and it gave it such a nice finish. Still the same tone just less shiny and lacquered looking. I like that this brand also included the drywall anchors.
