You can put it directly in front of your face and feel that it's not blowing right at you -- it kind of swirls the air around you. I don't know quite how they do that, but it's awesome. Also, they are fairly quiet. You will still hear them, especially at the highest speed, but they are not nearly as loud as other fans. You can hear it in my video on the medium speed. This fan comes with three speeds and the one thing I wish they would change is that the highest speed is what is on the dial first (see photo). It's always a bit odd when I'm turning it on, but not a huge deal. This fan is the perfect size to sit in front of my window air conditioner all summer to help keep my living room clean.Lastly, these fans are really well made and will last a long time. Once you try one, you won't go back to basic fans.

I take an hour walk and it last 2-3 days before I have to charge it. A little loud. I turn it off while talking to the neighbors. It doesn't bother my hair. I may loan it to my dog. It's been too hot in Florida for him to go with me. I tried it on him and it didn't bother him. I'd have to put a twisty on it to hold it to his collar. It may not work for my dog. He already wears a cool coat.
