I bought the pick-up for my acoustic. The folks I was playing with had guitars which are acoustic-electric and I needed a way of amplifying myself to match their volume, etc. This particular pick-up fit the bill nicely. It is easy to install, does not damage the guitar, and sounds great for my purposes. If you are looking for a decent pick-up for your acoustic guitar that sounds good, is easily installed, this is the one for you!

pickup and super clean, only minor issue is that the cork protectors are too thick on some guitars, so the strings are too close to the pickup as this scratches the pickup with your guitar picks. So you need to to bring down the pickup, remove the cork spacers and use something thinner. This is a design flaw on this pickup the top section side wings are too thick so the pickup is too close to the strings.

I'm not an expert when it comes to recording, but I did a lot of research and read a lot of customer comments before making my decision to choose this pickup. I have not been disappointed, it is easy to install and sounds great. When I'm finished recording, I just remove the pickup and store it in it's box, and I didn't have to make any permanent changes to my guitar. Plus I can use it on my other guitar too!

The chord dose not detach at the pickup so installation includes wrestling with a long chord, then what to do with it when putting the guitar away? Some manufactures listen others do not. Which one is Fishman? Then you must set your sound at the amp or mixer. They recommend phosphor bronze guitar strings will not work on Silk and Steel.

Wonderful! Easy to put on and remove, even for our young (13) musician. Great sound through her Roland AC-33 amp. This was purchased as an alternative to buying an electric acoustic or having to drill holes in the guitar to retrofit. No preamp needed, which was a bonus for us.

I installed this in my Baby Taylor acoustic. Had to alter slightly to get it in (the pickup is designed for a slightly larger diameter soundhole), but once I got it installed it sounds great. Being a single-coil it's got an almost hollow-body electric sound. Me gusta.

I wanted a semi-permanent pickup on my acoustic guitar without breaking the bank -- and one that I could install myself. I cut the end off the cable and soldered the wire to an endpin jack which I also installed. Everything was simple and it sounds great.

I was shocked at the quality of sound. If you have an acoustic and want it electrified, get this and don't spend hundreds of $ to have a pickup put in it. It made my Taylor 110 sing. Now I just wish I could play it better.

Sounds great in my old Harmony Sovereign. Like others, I shaved some of the cork off the top bracket to let it sit further down into the hole. A quick shave with a razor blade was all it took!
