Definitely a study metal stand. It takes a bit of a challenge to line up sides and figure out the angles to make it level. After several attempts I started getting the hang of re-positioning it based on where I was and the surface I was overcoming. Trust me you will get better and better (and faster) at the setup of a new location. I haven’t tried out the fans yet but just having the vents under there made my PC vent easier. I have even used it for meals on the couch haha. Love it!

I purchased this portable Aluminum Laptop Stand last week and received it today. I love it. It is very light weight, but still looks classy. It didn't take me too long to figure out how to adjust the legs/stand to a comfortable position. I also love the silver/aluminum colour. I haven't attached the side piece for the mouse because I don't really use a mouse with my laptop, however it is there if I do decide to use it. It fits my 15" inch laptop perfectly, with an extra 2 inches on both sides. No regrets so far.

My neck is in constant pain due to a car accident years ago and looking down for very long will guarantee a severe headache. I use it for my computer and to write on. The stand is sturdy. I'll extend it all the way up so I can stand and use my wall monitor and it will wiggle a little side to side if you move your hands that way, but that doesn't happen with normal typing! The "lip" holding the computer in place is slightly higher than my laptop, but not enough to hurt your wrist. The tray seems to be metal and legs, plastic and not at all flimsy. It does slide so I put rubber bands on (see picture) and that stopped the problem.

This product is easy to use and sturdy. Perfect for a laptop. My only complaint is that I find the mouse support add-on to be more of a nuisance than a benefit. When sitting in an armed charm (which is normal for me) it was hard to find a spot where it was comfortable. On top of that the mouse often slid off it. In the end, I simply left it off and used the mouse on my leg or the palm rest of the laptop.

i bought this when my belly was starting to get bigger and resting my laptop on it was uncomfortable, i also figured that it wasn't great to have it directly on there for a number of reasons. anyway it is perfect. sturdier than i feared it would be, since the joints are made of plastic, and it's super adjustable. it takes a bit of attention to make it level, but i like that it has so many options for adjustment, because sometimes the surface i'm on isn't totally flat, (especially as i get bigger and need more propping up!) and so having one leg offset from the other is actually preferable.

As a traveler who never carries more than a personal item and carry-on I thought for sure that this product would not meet my requirements of being strong, compact, and extremely light. But that's exactly what this is! It fits inside my backpack and is so light that at first I thought it was made of plastic. I bought this as a solution for setting the height and angle of my laptop screen so that it matched that of a second monitor. I use a separate keyboard and I did not use the included mouse attachment at all. This stand works well for a situation where you don't need to physically interact with the laptop much. It probably isn't stable enough for using the laptop keyboard because (depending on the setup) it would increase the risk of tipping. But for a hands-off stand it is perfect.

The lip that holds the keyboard from falling off came chipped off at the end. I just super glued it back on rather than go through the hassle of returning it. It looks like a 5 year old glued it on now, but is is functionally fine. I gave it a low score for assembly mostly because I am puzzle challenged. If you can do brain teaser puzzles, however, you will have no trouble getting this to the right position you want. Once I found the position I wanted, I marked the spots on the dials so I could remember the assembly routine. I use it for my keyboard and mouse only. If you are a heavy mouse user, the side mouse pad is a little wobbly and won't take much pressure. I have a light hand, so my mouse works fine. I love it and would recommend it. Great value for the price. If you want something more heavy duty and sturdier, you will have to spend a couple of hundred dollars. This is a more economical option.

I have had this a few months now and really like it. It is sturdy and holds my 15" laptop well. I do not care for the mouse holder as it needs a rubberized bottom so the mouse will stay on the pad. I have taken it off and don't use it. One other minor complaint is it takes a few trial and errors to get the legs set up like you think you want them. But, once you find the right angles for the legs its great. I use it mostly while I am lounging in my easy chair and it fits perfectly over my legs and between the arms of the chair. Even with the minor issues, I still think it deserves a 5 star rating because it works great once you figure it out.

Having an adjustable bed back helps of course.. This is a sturdy and an amazingly adjustable lapdesk. I am 6'3 and 230 lbs. Im typing this as the lapdesk is straddling my thighs. Its a little tight for the boys, but it does the job. Its collapsable so this bad boy folds up and I can toss it in my car. The one thing that has not been perfected is the mouse pad/metal plate. I dont use it as often since I have a controller. Its a little small for my hand size and it can sometimes be combersome when gaming with a mouse. Overall the best one Ive found on the market!
