Your pond needs lots of aeration for the product does reduce the oxygen in your water. This is very important if you have fish.

Do not use any algae products unless you have alot of aeration. Your fish will die! I have a very large septic aeration pump going to a very large diffuser on a bottom drain and I lost 1 fish. However I did use alot more than directions. I have been vacuuming what looks like dish soap bubbles off of the top of the water for 3 weeks after most of algae was dead. I tried another brand first and it did nothing at all. This starts to work immediately but I had a really bad really tough algae problem. It works but not as fast as I wanted so I waited the 3 days before retreating the first time then overdosed the 2nd and lagae gone. Can't wait for soap bubbles to be gone also (from oversosing I'm sure)

I have been using Algaefix for several years and have found it to be the absolute best for cleaning up filter clogging floating algae. My pond holds about 1,500 gal and 20+ fish. At the start of warmer weather, I treat the pond with Algaefix about three times and have crystal clear water all summer, only needing a touch up treatment on occasion. I recommend that treatment be stopped around September to allow regrowth for fish grazing over the winter months. Using one of those hose fertilizer sprayers makes application very easy. You might also consider getting some barley straw in the water to stop green water as it aids the Algaefix. I don't know how they do it, but Amazon sells this product at about half the price of pond outlet shops and ships it fast. I highly recommend this product for algae control in outdoor fish ponds. Just be certain to follow the directions and keep aeriation going.

We have two small ponds. One is 12 ft x 6 ft and the other is 6 ft x 3 ft and this bottle will last us 20 years!

Couldn’t quite tell… Filters running, everything’s running. I have multiple oaks in the area so I thought it was tannins, bought a giant tub of activated charcoal for $100 (size appropriate) but a week later no change. Bought this and used a very small amount (afraid to harm fish)- the next day it was BEAUTIFUL!
