   I had a lot of algae, different kinds, in my little pond. This stuff killed most of it on the first application. Took another shot to get rid of the heavy stringy stuff. It has been two weeks and none of the algae has returned. Plus, it takes so little to kill the algae that this bottle will last a really long time! Great stuff! I would certainly recommend it to any pond owners looking for a good anti-algae product!

   There are a lot of horror stories out there about the use of this product. I used it twice on a large goldfish and koi pond, with no ill effects. I was a bit worried about using it because I had fish fry in the pond, some only a couple of days old. I followed the directions exactly and everything survived the treatment, except the algae, pond water is crystal clear. I, and my fish, had no problems with this product.

   I have used this brand and solution in my pond for 2 years now, love it! Safe for my fish and all our frogs. Takes a few days to start working at the beginning of each summer but it really does clear everything up so well and my waterfall pumps no longer struggle to pull water. A bit pricey as I have to use a good bit of it for a medium sized pond but I highly recommend using this in tandem with the sludge destroyer. Great results.

   I was looking forward to offer my review. Especially for the Koi owners. When I built my pond I purchased two Koi and some Comets. It wasn't long before Algae started to form. I purchased an Algacide at Home Depot. Used as directed my Koi died. The Comets survived. From then on I only purchased feeder fish in colors. When I used the Algae fix I use less than instructed. Regardless of claims that products won't kill fish Koi may be at risk. Comets have a better tolerance.

   I don't usually like using chemicals to take care of algae, but this stuff has a very specific use in my aquariums (hundreds of tanks). Filamentous algaes that are impossible to remove physically, are not eaten by any fish or nerite snail, and take over the tank to the point where it is growing in your filter. Even in my heavily planted tank with CO2 and a ph monitor that turns the CO2 on to keep the tank at or below 6.1 doesn't stop this type of algae. But this stuff does.

   I’ve been struggling with my 6000 gallon pond all summer. It’s been extremely hot 90+ and I’ve tried all the little water tests in a cup to see if it was brown (tannins) or green (algae). Couldn’t quite tell… Filters running, everything’s running. I have multiple oaks in the area so I thought it was tannins, bought a giant tub of activated charcoal for $100 (size appropriate) but a week later no change. Bought this and used a very small amount (afraid to harm fish)- the next day it was BEAUTIFUL!

   This worked very effectively to clean up all the algae in my Koi pond! I was a new Koi pond owner and the pond's UV clarifier was broken. My pond is about 600 gallons and has a waterfall filter and a DIY rock/sand barrel filter. I was also using beneficial bacteria and barley to try and control the algae in the pond but it wasn't enough. Once I started using this product, the water cleared completely and I no longer have to scoop out algae out of pond. My pond has stayed crystal clear ever since.

   This took care of the algae problem in my pond (250 gallon with a waterfall, fountain, and UV sterilizer). It took about 6 days to work, but it cleaned up the hair algae (the UV can't kill hair algae). It did no harm to the 4 goldfish or the various frogs. You want to make sure to clean out your filter every other day as it traps the dead algae and could cause an oxygen issue as the algae decays. We ran the fountain full blast to keep the water moving so we had no issues. We used this with the API sludge remover and clarifier.

   I followed directions with this product and in three days I could start to see the bottom of my pond. In a little over a week the water was crystal clear. This stuff really works. No turtles or fish were harmed in the process. I have really good filtration and aeration in my pond and kept the pump on all through the process as instructions said. I've been applying it in small amounts weekly with the addition of a barley bale and my pond has continued to be clear and beautiful. I'm pretty amazed it worked so well and so quickly.

   I honestly don't know what kind of algae was plaguing my small plastic pond/water feature, but it was looking swampy and getting smelly. After 1 treatment it was such an improvement and kept improving after the next few days. I did do a second treatment about 4 days after the first just to nab all of it after brushing the sides and stirring up more gunk. It looks great now! I added 1 plant recently (about 12 hours after the last treatment) so I don't know if it will have any effect on that, though it's not supposed to. Good stuff and quick results!
