My cat hates the cones. She always finds a way to slip out of them, I've even tried the soft cones flipped back and my poor cat is just miserable the whole time. The toast is adorable and she doesn't seem to mind as much. It's super soft and doesn't get in the way, yet still keeps her from chewing and licking her wound.

I wasn't sure about this product because the cat pictured looks so much larger than our tiny girl. The pic of the avacodo design looks pretty thick and full. I honestly did not even think our feisty little devil cat would allow us to put this on her, yet alone wear the thing. It's so cute and affordable I had to try! The avacodo is thinner and smaller than what it seems in the images provided. As soon as it arrived we tried it on. It fits great. Totally adjustable and not awkwardly thick. Seems comfy and she actually kept it on for a few minutes!! We were shocked. Our beautiful little monster gets spayed next week so we shall see how she does with it on for a longer period. I have high hopes. Will post better pics after surgery. Didn't want to ruin ot before the big day.

Things to note, my cat did successfully bunny kick it off in the beginning because the string used is too smooth for the spring trigger to hold it. I bought some paracord and restrung it (and added a safety pin as extra security) so the trigger doesn't move when she tries to get it off. She hasn't tried though after the first two days so she may have been fully comfortable with it on already. This pillow DID get wet when she drank water (both from her water bowl and water fountain) and if she uses the litter box after, it does stick! Not much can be helped though as I would much prefer this size to stop her from reaching her bandage. She is 3 years old and 9.3lbs if anyone was curious. All in all, very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

My 8 month old kitten just got spayed and the collar that was provided by the vet was way too large, it didn’t even fit over her body let alone her neck. I got a baby onesie & was able to keep that on her while waiting for this collar but even that she would find a way to either shimmy herself out while I was not home or unbutton the bottom part and have me worried sick that she licked her incision. I then decided to put a sock sweater over the onsie since it’s very skin tight, that made it impossible for her to shimmy out of the onesie but she still had access to the buttons on the bottom.

My sweet little rescue kitty Merlin has a terrible habit of licking until his skin is raw and I’ve gotten it cleared up several times but he’s relentless. So I came onto Amazon to get a cone of shame but saw this and hoped it worked because it’s so cute. It totally works. Usually if I put anything on him like a sweater etc he basically crawls around like it weighs 100 pounds. But this he doesn’t seem to really notice much. About 5 minutes after putting it on he was in his favorite chair snoring. Would totally recommend instead of the cone.

On 2/11 my baby girl was taken to get spayed. Knowing how my cat is a bit skittish and anything out of the norm makes her very uneasy, I dreaded the thought of her wearing an uncomfortable cone while trying to recover from surgery. I searched alternatives and found a recovery suit that I wasn't able to use because the vet wouldn't put it on her, and insisted a cone was needed instead. Since the vet (Thrive) I took her to is located inside of petco, I purchased a cone from petco. As I expected, my baby hated the cone, wouldn't eat or drink water and she refused to move from the same spot as she freaked out trying to remove what was around her head. I then attempted to put the suit on but she cried (probably from being in pain or feeling threatened) and I was too scared to continue my attempts so I decided to remove cone while supervising her for hours at a time so she could eat and use the bathroom comfortably. I did leave the cone on at night so that I could sleep. 2/12 (day after surgery) I purchased this item in hopes it would help her in any way possible. After purchase, expected arrival was 2/14. Today is 2/13 and to my surprise, my package arrived. SO HAPPY I purchased this!!! Immediately after I put this on, she started walking normal and drank water for the 1st time in 3 days. No more walking backwards and she is sleeping comfortably and curled. I wish I would have bought this sooner as I wasted money on the original cone and recovery suit, but more importantly could have saved her the extra stress and discomfort. I'll be recommending this to anyone I hear or know needing a recovery cone. THANK YOU!!!!

We own a special-needs cat sanctuary. This cone is a game changer!! Our kitty Boston had a TECA surgery and laser work on her opposite ear. TECA is removing the entire ear canal. The Toast Neck Cone worked perfectly for her. She could not scratch her ears during the two weeks she was required to wear it but she was capable of doing everything else with ease. The surgeon and staff at the speciality hospital absolutely loved it and even they ordered a few. Our own vet was equally impressed. We purchased several cones to try, even one that was see through but none of those were well received. Cats hate cones and they are easy to get off. Boston didn't mind wearing this cone at all. It's lightweight, adjustable but doesn't prevent them from eating and it's easy to clean (hand wash). Tip: buy more than one! Especially for after surgery care when ointments and such can be messy. Please note that this cone will NOT work for a spay/neuter surgery or similar. Only for head/ear conditions. Highly recommend!!!

FANTASTIC PURCHASE! My six month old kitten, busted his chin/lip while parkouring and playing all over my apartment. He ended up needing 6 stitches, and due to the location of the cut, he’d have to be in a plastic cone of sadness for 10 days until the stitches were removed. By the second night home, this little man had somehow removed the plastic cone of doom, and I knew I needed something fast. After reading positive reviews online , I decided to order this for my furry son. From the second I put it on him, he LOVED it. It’s a built in pillow that doesn’t stop him from eating or drinking, but did stop him from ripping his stitches out and me having another hefty ER vet bill. 10/10. It also doesn’t hurt that he looked absolutely adorable, and gained another nickname “Mr Toast” for 10 days straight. HIGGHly recommend!

My kitty has itchy allergy flare ups so ecollars are sometimes a necessary evil. She always gets so so depressed when she has to wear them, it eats at my heart. While she doesn’t LOVE wearing the toast, she accepts it and does not get depressed. Eating is much easier with these and she’s able to get reasonably comfortable for her naps. She knew right away to use it as a pillow (it’s very soft and squishy). I will say it’s not *quite* as effective as a real ecollar but it’s effective enough. if she was really determined to scratch her face she could, but it takes A LOT more effort and the extra effort seems to be enough of a deterrent to keep her from scratching.

This product worked like a dream.. my cat got spayed and her incision got infected due to a reaction to the sutures. She hated the cone. This was an amazing alternative. She didn't mind it at all. She kind of used it as a pillow and slept on it a lot. It was comfy for her to sleep on and it didn't choke her. It was small enough that it didn't impede with her walking or using the litter box. She was able to eat and drink water no problems. The collar is adjustable as well which is good for fatter cats or skinny cats. I highly recommend this product for anyone needed an e collar and don't want to use a cone. Will definitely use again in the future.
