There are options where you can place the pillows underneath them so they don't get uncomfortable during tummy time and as he got a little bit bigger, I was able to use it as a seat, so that he had some support while learning to sit up independently.

Obviously she's a bit young to leave in there for a long time, but enough for me to read a book and do flash cards. It isn't stand alone, you definitely need to prop it against something but it's great!
