   It does a great job lighting up the area under our offset umbrella! There doesn't seem to be a huge difference between the 2nd and 3rd setting regarding brightness, but that could just be me. It doesn't matter however because we keep it on the brightest setting whenever we're out there.
   The other night I even attached it to our bench swing, and that worked too! You can go to the store and pay a heck of a lot more than this for a light that does just as good of a job as this one at a fraction of the cost. I'm happy with it!

   The light came well packaged but with no instructions. However, it is easy to determine where the AA batteries are inserted and how to turn on the ring. The latch took a minute or two to figure out but after that, it was easy to add to the patio umbrella. there are 3 light settings which are adequate for reading and for entertaining people around the table.
