   I don't usually write reviews, but I had to for this one after last night. I am giving it 5 stars for one reason, build quality! It's a tough radio! I bought my little Tecsun back in November, and since then it has followed me around everywhere, traveling, and on camping trips, all over my yard as I have worked. It has fallen 4+ feet with nary an issue. It has been subject to constant condensation, dampness, and humidity in the Florida outdoors. Last night took the cake though, as I found it in an inch of water in the back of my apparently now leaking Jeep. It was trying its hardest to run, even underwater. I promptly removed it, disassembled it and dried everything off. Let it rest until this morning, put it all back together, and if it doesn't work just as well as the day I got it. Truly a tough radio!

   I needed to find a REAL radio MAINLY for AM (MW). I live in a building with so much EMF that I have NO radio that could get even KDKA-AM 1020, and I live in Downtown PITTSBURGH!! This radio does! I am guessing that since it's designed for SW, AM reception was not forgotten (As it is with 99% of "AM/FM" radios made today?!?) For the people "squaking" about the lack of bass: It's NOT A HI-FI music system, It's a COMMUNICATIONS RADIO, In most "uses cases" it's for VOICE. You actually don't want a lot of bass when you are trying to pick out words from an SW station from the other side of the planet! The Stereo FM and Bluetooth is a luxury on this type of receiver! I DO use the Bluetooth function with a Bluetooth enabled mp3 player for "Old time radio" shows, as it's fun to listen to them on an actual radio! PS: It's good for "Podcasts" too!
