I did make a few adjustments to the costumes. I added Buttons on the backside as it kept coming undone, I shortened the red kerchief as it was covering too much of the front and I wanted to add a heat transfer that looked like a name tag to add his name to the costumes.

Mine was a bit big for my dog but I just tied it. Velcro is strong. To have the box you need scissors and some folding technique. I just used tape from the outside to secure box but you can most certainly use glue.

He wore the costume for about 2 hours straight while we went trick or treating, and he was comfortable in it the entire time. The only negative was the box dragged on the ground a little while we walked, so after about an hour it fell off and we couldn't get it to fully stick back on the arms. The arms bounce when he runs which is hilarious, even with the box! I would recommend reinforcing the box with tape because it does get bent easily (my puppy is 30lb) and the box bounces between his front legs when he runs. I think it's just designed for dogs with a different build. Regardless, nothing a needle and thread couldn't stitch up! I took in the hat, chest, and arms, and removed some of the chest stuffing, as schnauzers have luxurious skirts and chest hairs that have no need for padding.
