I'm so thankful I found this. Granted I've only used it once. Will report back if anything goes wrong with other uses. It takes a few minutes to put the vacuum together, but well worth the buy, in my honest opinion. No more lugging around gallons of water and getting the carpet wet, while cleaning the tank. Patience is a virtue and always lay down some towels for some drips, as you take the vacuum in and out of the tank to clean.

I have mobility challenges, so this is a very functional tool and ease of maintenance for my fish health, however, I would love one designed for the tanks smaller then 20G, but not give up the power and performance of this current product. However, I do want to bring up something that is easily disregarded and it's your own set-up, like for myself, I had small sand-like substrate at the bottom of the tank and the typical gravel cleaner would suck up the sand as well filling the filter sock constantly, adding more time in the process entirely.

    Over 1 month using this tool for my fish tank, it is way better than my siphon vacuum cleaner. Very powerful suction, I would say too powerful if you don't adjust the flow control dial. The first time I use it to suck some poop out, before I know it, half of tank is gone. Now I mostly use the mesh filter, let the cleaned water return, super easy and painless, and my 2 gold fish are happy. The filter itself is easy to wash and clean. My only con is the pump has to be all soaked in the water to work, so for my turtles who enjoy low water level, this does not work at all. But just for my fish, this deserves 5 stars, I would never go back to my siphon cleaner.
