Using 12 volts of power, the 12 V car heater is capable of dissipating heat up to 100? easily. In addition, the car defroster is designed with four ventilation holes that help dissipate heat faster.

Due to its compact design, the car radiator is extremely compact and fits on most dashboards. It does not distract you from driving and does not give you unnecessary blind spots that can lead to accidents.

Heats up a significant volume of air. 2 of these would be sufficient to keep a car interior warm in 0 degree weather. I'd say maybe 3 for a van. Torture tested at 14.7 volts for 20 hours. Main wires barely got warm. Very dependable. No smell after initial burn-in, though burn in was a bit rough, gently smelled a bit like burned rubber. Went away after about 15 hours of operation. Highly recommended item, especially compared to those terrible black and red "defroster" fire hazards. Mine pulls just under 14 amps.

I was skeptical - but this thing holds tight to the underside of the oilpan on our f150 - 1978. We don't live in really cold places like I used to - where it would get to 30 below. We live where it can dip to 5 degrees. But this old truck is a pain to start when it's about 25 - so we bought this to help. It takes just enough of the edge off to do so. Only problem i had was finding a flat spot on the oil pan large enough to place it, and the freakishly short cord. I cut off the original and spliced on a new longer one.

I like the versatility associated with this heater. Since it attaches to steel, it can be used with engine oil, transmission oil or diesel oil containment areas.
