Using it periodically it is possible to maintain proper cleaning and although in any way it replaces the visit to the dentist if it will make it shorter and less intense in cleaning.

   This is the first time I have purchased and used . I chose this one based on the reviews I read. It does take a little getting used to when using it for the first time, but once you figure out how to maneuver , it is very easy to use. If you have not used one before make sure you close your mouth enough so that the water does not go all over the place, but enough to let the water drain into the sink. I have not traveled with it anywhere yet, however, it is very light and comes with a bag so it would be very convenient to travel with. I would recommend this product.

   I have had an electric flosser and found it awkward to use. The long hose had to be primed with most every usage, and it had to be removed from the sink area after each use because of size. With this unit I just fill with warm water and floss. If there is a way to use on the back of the teeth without making a mess I have not found it. I have not rated the unit for travel because I have yet to bring it on a trip.

My husband finally caved in after being told by the dental hygienist to get one and use it. We got this second one for him and he loves it. Highly recommend this. You have to fill the water twice to fully do your entire mouth and recharge it weekly. It takes up less room than a large device and does the job as well or better. Highly recommend.
