I'm having a hard time understanding why so many of the reviews are negative! This device combined with the latest OBS software downloaded on my iMac (OS Big Sur) worked like a charm! Converted two VHS tapes of a childhood trip to Disney from 1988 to mp4 with no issues. Audio and video matched that of the VHS. I was even able to pause the recording while I switched out tapes so it's all one file! So glad I didn't spend $150+ on a converting program when this little device worked beautifully for $13!
