I was biking when a car made an illegal U-turn on a residential street and hit my bike, which turned the handlebar into my clavicle, fracturing it (got surgery to put a metal plate in). I recall flying off the bike and hearing a loud thwack as my head hit the street. Without the helmet, I would have been very screwed. I can barely tell the damage from the crash (not sure if any damage is from the crash or just regular wear-and-tear), but since I won't wear a helmet that I was wearing in an accident and that hit the ground loudly, I am replacing it. I'm probably going to buy this same helmet again as soon as the driver's auto insurance company says that they'll cover the cost of a new helmet. In terms of fit, it fit very well, and I had no other problems with it.

Riding down a hill, that he isn’t supposed to ride on, he lost control at ~30 mph and landed on the side of his head, on the asphalt. He was knocked out momentarily, but passed the concussion screening at the ER. He is fine, other than some road rash. I hate to think how he might have fared with his old helmet, or no helmet. The ER doctor said that the spot he hit was about the worst place to hit for head injuries.

When I first came to US, I don't understand why everybody is wearing a helmet when riding their bikes. Now I know. I was riding downhill and was really close to a car in front of me. I thought it will just drive straight away, so I didn't slow down. But I was wrong. It stopped suddenly and tried to pull over. My bike hit the back of the car and broke. My head hit the back window. All I remembered was the scatter of glass flew all over me. Everybody on the street came and asked me if I am ok. Surprisingly, I wasn't injured at all. Now I feel a little bit of pain on my shoulder but I don't think it is a big deal. I couldn't imagine what could happen if I was not wearing a helmet.

It’s now November 4th and we just got home from the hospital an hour and a half ago. Somehow my son ended up crashing his bike and severely injuring himself. We were transferred from our local hospital to a larger one 45 minutes away. That helmet is scratched and scraped up, and so is my son, but without it on he’d definitely be hurt much worse. I see where people say it can break however observing it mechanically if you over tighten the rear that's probably what's causing it to break as you are literally pulling pounds of force through styrofoam. Padding is thin. But that just means it's lighter. Do yourself a favor and rip off the visor. It does nothing and looks cooler without it. Great buckle system for under chin though the plastic will probably eventually break after daily use for a year or two. But for the price I would buy a new one every year

Great!!! I bought it for my daughter she is 14 and 5'6" she lives because it's easy to adjust with a turning knob at the base of the skull and clicks as you tighten. The color is absolutely amazing it must be the prettiest Helmut I have ever seen and I thought her prior one had a great paint job but this is even prettier. I feel it is very sturdy but she has never fallen to test it out thank goodness. My 11yr old son has the same design that ajusts with the knob in back as well and it works great to always make sure it is a tight fit and it's super easy for adjusting.
