But this was perfect for him although he still has to carry it around it folds easily,lightweight, and sturdy, and it was just perfect for his pruning and other yard duties.

He is constantly up and down, on his knees, painting, building, etc. He had an old pillow he used to kneel on and when I saw this bench, I thought, this would really help him. HE LOVES IT. He was skeptical at first but has used it all weekend (It was an early Father's Day gift.) but now brags to anyone who stops by what a big help it is to him. The bench helps him to sit and paint, or kneel and the sturdiness helps him get back up.

When you get older like we are, it's hard to get back up from a kneeling position without having something to boost you up! This is perfect for that. It came fully assembled. The part you kneel on is not super soft, but it's not uncomfortable either. It seems very sturdy too. You just flip it over to use it as a seat. And the side pouch comes in handy to hold your garden tool. Very nice.
