She has gotten out twice since I bought the tracker, and both times it notified me that she was out of the fence, and she was right where it said she was. The Family sharing capability is also really helpful when I’m an hour from home at work. Wish the battery lasted longer, but it notifies you when it needs to be charged. It looks a little bulky on my dachshund, but it doesn’t seem to bother her.

Yes you have to pay in advance and that scared us originally but we took the chance and are pleased with our decision. We have bern able to track him not only in our yard (virtual fence) and while he is on his walks. The battery life is about two days which is normal. The only thing we do not like is that the charging cord is short and proprietary. The app is simple and straight forward. Over all a great investment for our family.

It shows activity minutes, hot spots, and location, and allows you to turn on a light or emit a sound from the device to find your pet in the dark, etc. SO happy I went with this one after hours of research. Snap it on the collar, charge about once a week, go "live" on the virtual map and bingo, the dog icon turns red when you are within several feet of the elusive doggo. Tractive kept winning over and over. I purchased one for each of my dogs. I live in VERY remote SW Oregon (US) on the coast, about 7 miles from the California border. I was doubtful that the GPS would work as we struggle to even get consistent cell service up here. Tractive worked right out of the box! Set up was super easy! It's a little annoying having to remove the tracker from our dog's collar to charge it but push messages let us know when it is down to 10% charge. The battery charging cord is magnetic and a little funky requiring some jacking around to get the charging light to go on. Considering the design constraints, it is light, apparently durable, and overall pretty ez to set up and it works.
