   My 7-year old grandson could not stop laughing when we got this bird into the air. The neighbors out for their daily walks stopped to watch the flights and were amazed. Like any remote control flying device, you need to be careful in directing its flight (said the old guy who flew a drone into power lines and the electric company had to be called to remove it---I will never live that one down with my wife). I did not have the negative experiences described in other reviews. Buy it---it's fun!

   My 7 year old daughter saved up her money to get one of these. She has flown it outdoors probably 100 times since we got it and it has held up really well. That being said, she is very careful controlling its landing to make sure it glides down to the ground. The wind has taken it away from us a few times and it has crashed into trees and our house without any damage at all. One of the times, I was sure that a wing would be torn by the time we fished it out of the tree. We got it down and there was no damage at all.

   I just love flying the bird around the park on a still day. It's calming and exciting at the same time. The interface works well enough to steer around obstacles like trees and buildings. My favorite way to fly is to shut the bird off at altitude (easy with the index finger switch) watch it glide back down, then start flapping before hitting the ground.

   This is the coolest toy I've ever seen! Way better then I expected. I got it for my 2 year old because he loves birds, and everyone in the family ended up enjoying it highly. Easy to fly but when it touches or hits something, it's done - cant recover, so just turn it off and restart. Gets caught in wind!!! Took it 3 doors down so we fly inside or on no wind days. It's the coolest toy I've seen!! Worth the $
