Have used one of these type before. Had to buy a new one loaned out the old and didn't get it back. This type of boundary collar PERFECT for keeping my dog home and not to go running off. Plenty of ‘room' to romp and play in the boundary. These are really good if you don't have a fenced yard to keep your pet in. We live on 15 acres and our dog runs off to the neighbors when his kids are outside playing. Not anymore. This unit gives warning beeps before a shock. Shocks can be set at different levels. Our dog stops the instant she hears a warning beep. This is a great tool to use instead of tying up your dog or keeping them locked in the kennel all the time. I would buy another immediately if this one broke. It's easy to charge, just plug it in overnight and put it back on in the morning.

I bought this extra collar to go with the Petsafe system we already have. It stopped working after a couple weeks (which isn't usual for past products I've used from this brand) but customer service was excellent! They sent me a new one, no questions asked and it's worked perfectly.

I can't say enough good things about this wireless fence. All other wireless fences are garbage compared to this other than the halo which would have been my next purchase if this didn't live up to the expectations. Amazing battery life, easy setup, my dog knows exactly where she can and can't go with. This fence is very accurate and no incidental shocks from inaccuracies from product.

I have 2 dogs one is a 9 year old Australian shepherd who recently moved into the house and a 3 year old white German shepherd. Both are long haired. The older one kept talking off down the road and then the younger one started following. I was afraid they would get hit by a car. A friend has an in ground fence that he said works great with his 2 big dogs but I don't have the time to bury the fence so I thought I would try wireless. Another friends' family recommended the stay and play. When I got the transmitter and receivers and read the instructions it said to train the dogs 15 minutes 4 times a day for 14 days before letting them go on their own. I don't have time for that either so it sat on my counter for a while until out of fear for their safety I decided to just give them a crash course. I set up the flags and took each dog individually on a leash to learn the boundaries. The Ausie caught on quickly that I was listening for the beep to turn around and was soon turning before me in the first session. It took two days and one good correction when she wanted to chase the horse for the younger one to catch on. Still it only took a weekend to get them both where I could trust that they wouldn't cross the boundaries.

I wanted to cheack if it worked and put it on my neck (fyi it hurts and made me get on the floor so fast I couldn't even say “hey Siri what do I do if I get shocked with a dog collar” well it works nicely and my dog does not want to escape anymore.

I was skeptical that something that costs SO MUCH LESS than an underground invisible fence could actually work well, but let me tell you...it DOES! We have a 10 lb. Shichon who is faster than most. With the training directions, a bag full of treats, and some patience, she learned not to cross the line in ONE DAY. The downfall is that this won't really work well if you have an irregular lot...the "fence" extends in a circle from the base station. The distance is adjustable, but if you make it too large, be warned that your 4-legged friend could end up in the street or a neighbor's yard. The positives for us...we travel with our RV and have a cabin, and this is portable and adjustable so that it can work anywhere you have electricity. Once your pooch knows what the beeping means, they will understand the ramifications no matter where you are.

I was worried about buying this as it cost a lot having to purchase 3 collars for 3 dogs. But it works great. We have a big yard so they don't get to go every where but it stops them from going to the neighbors house which is why we bought it. The collar charge lasted longer than expected it lasted about 6 weeks before having to recharge. But once they were dead the dogs where happy to go further than they had been aloud so it hasn't helped with training but they are just stubborn dogs, especially our rottweiler who will run fast through it if someone is walking by our house that he wants to chase. But other 2 short haired dogs will not do that, he has longer hair so I think it doesn't bother him as much even though he shakes and jumps he still goes at times. But I would say it is worth the money, easy to set up and it works for the most part.

I've had the in-ground invisible fence from Petsafe for years with good experience, but it seems to regularly have problems and of course the dog only gets a correction as they pass over the wire. With the wireless fence, the dog continues to get corrections until they move back inside the fence. My dogs learned it instantly!

It took a couple of weeks to adjust our perimeter correctly and around three weeks to train our puppy. We've been extremely pleased with this product. We have a couple of small gaps in the perimeter due to an elevation change in our yard, and a refrigerator and stone in the middle of our kitchen, but our dog doesn't know. Great alternative to a fence and much cheaper than an underground fence.

It took our dog 2 days to train on the boundaries and she was good to go! She had a bad habit of chasing cars down the street before we got this but was very respectful of the perimeter once we trained her using the method described in the training guide that comes with the system. I recommend this to all my friends.
