Not only does it purify well, it also blows out cooler air so it doubles down as a fan. My bedroom was a few degrees cooler after leaving it on the medium setting for an hour. I originally got this to minimize allergies from the cats and pollen for my husband, but was impressed with odor control too. I have one near the kitty litter box and I normally smell my cat's poop if I don't scoop it right away, but it was minimized with the purifier on. It's still there, but not as noticeable.
