If you're smaller and much thinner with narrow hips then extra small is for you. Otherwise, order a size up! Nevertheless, the material was absolutely stunning, especially the red cape which is just as fabulous as everyone else who bought this said. Definitely the best costume i've ever bought until now and nothing beats the price. Would definitely recommend!

   I bought a small based on other reviews stating it ran large. I would normally be a medium. The small did fit, but it was snug. I loved the velvet material, it"s good quality, I was surprised actually how nice for the price. And I loved that you could actually lace up and tighten the front, it wasn't fake. The skirt is very short, though. It barely covered my rear end and I'm 5"8", so I added a white petticoat and it looked great.

   GREAT quality costume for the price just as most reviewers suggest. Some cape-fix advice: the velvet material is cut in a pointy way that made my shoulders look broader than they are. I fixed this with safety pins. Simply make the same "points" at the shoulders on the inside of the cape and pin it. You're basically disguising them by pushing the points in to get rid of them. The cape will then fall nicely in a flattering way.

   My daughter bought this costume for Halloween. She loved it. It was very good quality. The bust was a little big, but a couple of quick stitches and I was able to take it in for her. Overall we were very happy with this costume and I was happy that it wasn't quite as "sexy" as some of the other costumes you see out there. We added a pair of tights and a basket and it looked appropriate for a 15 year old girl.
