   For the longest time, steamed shrimp was the go-to meal when I did not want to cook. I would buy two pounds of raw shrimp and separate them into single meal sizes and freeze them. Rice and steamed shrimp make a quick and uncomplicated meal. The only problem was removing what euphemistically called the vein. It always was a pain to remove it. Eventually, I purchased packages of individually fast-frozen deveined shrimp

But with this tool, it makes it so much easier to remove the shell and devein it. It's very sturdy and worked well on the medium size shrimp I was preparing. I would recommend this product to anyone who cooks shrimp often or a large quantity. It's a definite time saver.
