True, the straps aren't leather but they're still sturdy (I have a bag made of the same material from my middle school years and now that I'm an adult, it still looks new) and no one would notice otherwise unless they felt it anyway. It came slouchy and lacking structure but I'm attributing that to the fact that to heat. It lacks studs/feet on the bottom, and while this would be nice, I don't mind the lack of it enough to knock off a star. I'll just get a purse hook.
