   I have read a lot of reviews about this item, from a few different sources. There are mixed opinions about the device's ineffectiveness at 70% humidity. Some reviews say it's fine, some say it's a complete failure. I decided to try it myself and I came to the conclusion that those who say it don't actually test the product, they just read the information and talk like a parrot. The product is so awesome!!!

   My wife has hot flashes at night and it affects her sleep. I bought this product hoping it will help her. It did! The colder the water, the better the experience. We put water and ice in the soaking jar for about 30m before going to bed. At peak, the water lasts for several hours and the cooler gives off really cold air. It is meant to be quite close to the user. The air stays cool even after running out of water. Can't beat this for the price. Very satisfied with our purchase.

   It is not a big room (10 x 12). This little unit does NOT cool the entire room as a proper window air conditioner would. But it cools me down, and honestly, that's all I care about (the books on the bookshelf don't have to be "cool"). Because the house is centrally air-conditioned, the indoor humidity is already low, otherwise the unit would not be effective. But again, this little device is just enough to take the heat out of the room from all my devices.
