   I was a little taken aback by the size but found out not to judge by the size. Very easy to use. Gives a very good edge to even old rusty knives and tools. I have found it to be excellent to carry with me in the garden and use it to get a good edge on all my clippers, hoes, and other gardening tools. It came in really useful on Christmas to sharpen my carving knife and make easy work of carving the ham.

I hate a dull knife and this solves that issue anytime I need it. Love that it's small enough to keep ini the drawer. The only thing is the suction isn't the best but it's not like it flings off when you sharpen so it works perfect for me.

   I was skeptical that a sharpener so small would compare to a much larger, electric-driven sharpener I'd used for years (that belonged to friends.... who moved away...). But it's GREAT. A half dozen pulls of each of my kitchen knives through the two parts of this sharpener, and they all passed the "tomato slicing" test with ease. It's a great product and a great value.

It also will stick to the counter and not move around when sharpening. If your looking for a simple knife sharpener that's for beginners this is the sharpener.
