   I bought this product because I have the most unruly hair known to man. I am a male, but I have long hair and a beard that likes to curl as much as it can. This beard straightener was able to make both my hair and beard go straight... It looks much better that way. I didn't want to get a flat iron, but still wanted to have relatively straight here without it being obiously straightened like I've had with traditional straighteners in the past. This product has done a great job of taming my hair without being overbearing or obvious.I would recommend this straightener to any guy who wants to straighten their beard or hair subtly.

   Nice lil tool, I was surprised it works in my car. Unfortunately it's not for certain ethnic hair types if you want it really straight. For my beard it works bone straight but all it really does is blow dry my hair on my head. I can duplicate that effect by blow drying and combing at the same time. I can also get my hair bone straight with a wave cap worn for like 30 minutes so I know it's possible. All in all it will come in handy to use before I braid my hair because it does straighten it enough to get full length and volume so definitely a good buy. Maybe I'll look on YouTube again to see if I'm using the wrong stuff in jy hair because the one girl that got it straight had mixed race hair much softer than mine.

   I got the chance to review this item and as my husband has a long beard that shall we say is wavy we gave it a go. Within the box you get this nice metal comb in the style of a moustache as well as the beard comb itself, it looks and feels like a solid product and the cord can rotate so it shouldn't really get in the way. It has two settings green and orange, so after my husband gave his beard a fresh wash and dry we gave it a go, the comb certainly gets up to temp quickly and it usable within the first minute of turning it on, the first setting did a good job and had the beard looking rather straight but for my husband switching it to the orange mode really does the trick, we both didn't realise just how long his beard was until after using this . My husband has now started using this every morning before work and it certainly makes a difference!
