   I primarily use this little gadget for calligraphy and other art projects where I need a straight line but don't want to spend 2093482093 hours drawing lines... I combine this with the Dahle 10683 Vantage Cutting Mat, 24" x 36" and it's perfect for spacing! I also bought an iphone tripod and this fits perfectly into it (I got a tripod that fits a iphone 5s) for when I need the + lines. I assume it would probably work just as well for those looking to project lines on to walls. The tape measurer has also come in handy around the house... used it several times today actually. I am loving this product and for a great price tag too. I was thinking about buying a sliderwriter but made a better version using this, the dahle mat, and an iphone tripod.

I’d been using a level that I swear was from the 1970s and had no idea that such a simple tool could be improved upon so much! The laser is beyond.    I just got this and to be fair it's a pretty useful tool,, of course me being a bit of a Geek (Metrologist) I had to see if the laser was calibrated , I compared it to a Bosch self leveling Laser and it was off.. but the best part is that unlike other more expensive items " it is adjustable " that made all the difference .. the tape measure I can do without as I have too many of those around the shop already but hey .. it's inexpensive , looks pretty durable , "adjustable" laser and won't weigh down the nail apron .. nice tool !!!!

   For this price, this tool is well made and not flimsy. Comes with extra LR44 batteries as mentioned and also a small Phillip's head screwdriver for the battery compartment screw and a metal 6" rule with metric on one side and inch on the other. Retractable button for the tape measure. Bought this to align guides when making new fishing rods. I used to tape a thread from the center of the reel seat to the center of the tip top and align the guides center to the thread. But using this is quicker.

   When I saw that it was a tape measure, level and had a laser I was excited. Especially for the price. It seemed like the perfect size as well since I mainly wanted it to hang pictures properly. When I opened the box I was very surprised to find that it came with EXTRA watch batteries for the laser and also the small screwdriver you need to open the battery compartment. Not to mention the completely adorable card encouraging you to leave feedback. So here I am leaving my very happy feedback. The tape measure is built into the bottom and works great. The laser is a very nice quality as well.

   This unit is nicely thought out and well built. The combination of triple level (horizontal, vertical and 45 degree), ruler, measuring tape, and laser - work well together. Frankly I was expecting a cheaply-made toy, but this arrived already loaded with the batteries - plus a spare set - plus even a small screwdriver to enable changing the batteries. Very complete. The tape measure automatically locks when extended, then retracts on the push of a button. This is the opposite of how most tape measures work, but, as mentioned in the included instructions, makes sense: I don't want to have to fight the tape to keep it open, then lock it to measure.

   I told them because it didn't have a magnetic base , I was informed that they did make one that had a magnetic base . They would send it to me free of charge . I said OK I got it but it didn't look any different than the first one so I let them know. The co let me know that the whole base is not magnetic just a small spot at each end.. I tried it yesterday on a project and yes it did hold very well to steel. I have to give this tool 5 stars as it does what I need it too and them some. I applaud the co for being persistent for trying to satisfy me and for FREE .should this fail I would buy another from them.
