Extremely bright light when you consider that this is an LED version. yes as other reviewers mentioned the switch is not on the lamp itself but about 4 inches from the lamp on the wire. for me that's a non-issue. I'll update back if i see any longevity issues. Like to see some add-ons like pencil holder etc, but that's a different issue though.
