I didn't want to keep putting that much heat on my hair, and I also didn't want to have to have hair wash day with wet hair in a bun or clip. I cut my hair shorter recently (just above shoulders), so I didn't think this would work well until it grew back out, but it worked wonderfully. I dried my hair first with a towel wrap to make sure it was mostly dry (according to the reviews I read, your hair should be mostly dry, luckily I have fine hair so it happens quickly for me), then I used this, and in less than ten minutes I was done and my hair wasn't fluffy or unmanageable and didn't need to be cleaned up with a flat iron.
