Had this for nearly a year and I just ordered a second one because I love this so much, and I want to try use it in a pan to steam veggies and I didn't know how well it would last being used like that. I regularly put it through the dishwasher and have left it soaking a little long before and it's still in great condition . Sure it's a little flimsy feeling but given it's not broken or damaged I'd say it's more than worth the money. So nice to use this for rice or other grains and not lose any out of the holes of a traditional plastic strainer, and I love it's little feet meaning I don't have to hold it while straining like I would a sieve.

This is a good strainer to have in the kitchen. I use it primarily to rinse rice. I like that it has a stand and two handles. I will say that this is the second strainer that I have bought. While it does hold up pretty well, the part with the feet did separate from the base after several years. I do use this thing frequently and I often have kids helping me so they are not always as gentle as they should be. So, I felt that the fact that it lasted for several years was acxtually pretty good. Nothing lasts forever.

The mesh of regular flour sifters is too fine for sifting the somewhat more coarse almond flour, and even slightly larger mesh sifters take too long for me. This one is great for that job. Put in the powder and bang the side for a while and it (almost) all goes through. It stops clumps which you can easily break up with your hands or a spatula. And it stops the largest pieces. I bought this to sift my cat litterboxes - I use a fine litter from "Sustainably Yours" and sometimes there are bits that are too small for the litter scoop. I discovered that a wire mesh strainer worked just fine, so bought this so I can sift the litter all at once to get it extra clean. I hope it lasts a long time - so far it seems pretty sturdy with the mesh well clamped into the wire lip and handles.
