Okay have had this about 90 days in a 18k gallon salt water pool with full sun. This actually works! We are still using some chemicals but they are lasting a LOT longer. not nearly the growth that we have had in the past. I am having to clean the copper rod once a week and this takes about 15 ish minutes. I have broken 1 of the plastic butter fly nuts so I am actually on amazon now to order another few get another rod. I will be asking customer service about how long the rods should last.

Now, don't need anything else. Pool chemistry is stable. Ph and alk are normal levels. If it rains a lot, it's a little less effective because of less solar charge. Augment with some extra chlorine or shock the pool after heavy rains as needed.
