Had to Google a YouTube video to try and figure out how to actually set it up (the instructions are quite paltry), and (full disclosure) it did take me 4 hours to actually get down, but once I did, I was able to use it as intended and have been super pleased with the purchase. Better investment than a Steadicam I had a few years back. You won't regret it (if you YouTube)!

I left off a star because I don't know what others might do differently but this unit is great if the time is taken to properly set it up. After a few Youtubes and some attempts, it works better than expected. Not sure if it would have been so great had it not been for finding a good Camera guy show how it works with different cameras and modifications necessary for very light cameras (I use the CAMPARK 4K unit). Now for less than 150 dollars, I can create a great high quality (and now stable) video. Ah heck.....I'm going to give it a 5 Star rating but Youtube Pro made it possible.

This handheld DSLR stabilizer is a very, very good product for its price point. It took a little while to get it fully stablized, but once you do it the first time, you can easily remove the camera and put it back with ease. Sadly, there are no instructions that came with this stabilizer, but it was self explanatory. Here is my very simple guide. Know how much weight you need. The more weight you put on, the faster it will swing to the middle. You may need to remove a weight. Make sure the holding stick is directly under the center of the camera. This will make it sit perfectly in the middle, which is what you want. Also, center your camera using the notches on the top, they look like a plus sign. Center it so it doesn't sway in any direction. Next, move the weighted arm in small increments to make small changes to where the camera will point. For the price though, I have zero complaints. I wasn't expecting much from something at this price considering the competition, but it honestly makes all of your shots really smooth.

I bought this for my husband, he takes amazing pictures. He'd mentioned he needed this product and this very brand. It's very sturdy and well made. He fiddled with it about 15 minutes rearranging the weights and other parts, then his camera balanced on this small ball joint. He took several videos walking around the house and they were smooth, you couldn't tell he was walking either just a steady smooth movement. I'm really glad I bought this for him

I'm still trying to figure this thing out, but I will say that it is well made, though in my experience so far, some of the DSLR camera shown on it maybe a bit too heavy for the unit. I put a Canon 6D with a 24mm lens on and could not seem to get the balance right, though it may be user error. I wish there were better instructions on how to accomplish this, but I guess that's what youtube is for now.

This is the real deal! Comes very well packaged and with very nice and clear instructions for use. Includes two different weights so you can fine tune the balance. It is of rugged construction and I can see it will last for many years.

It works as I expected. Its not so hard to calibrate like Ive seen on some reviews, as soon as you know the right position for your camera its very quick. Its a little hard to ajust the zoom of my DSLR lenses because you dont have good access to this bottom part of the camera.

Did a lot of research before I settled on this stabilizer. Many negative comments to go along with the excellent comments. I needed a stabilizer so I kept looking. A customer who bought this made a YouTube video debunking most of the negative comments. The guy was very convincing so I ordered this stabilizer and received it when my friend returned to the States (I had sent it to his address in Oklahoma). Remembering the video, we gave it a thorough checking out and realized we could make it work with very little problems. Put my Nikon 1 with the 10-20mm lens on the stabilizer and within a few minutes (and a lot of discussion) we were able to get it to work as expected. Look at it. Adjust it. Think about the physics of it and then balance your camera based on what you theorized. It works but it takes some understanding of why it works. As the guy in the video stated, this is one solid piece of equipment. All metal except the grips. Easily adjusted if one understands how it works. Only used it a little but the Nikon 1 was stable. Will take it out next week for a serious movie making adventure among nine Thai temples in Kanchanaburi. about two hours away from Bangkok. If you have doubts, find the video and watch it before making you decision.

I just got a camera to take photos and video of my boyfriend as he rides his mountain bike through the trails. I was having a hard time with smooth image transitions and keeping the image stable. I found this professional stabilizer and decided to give it a try and see if it would help. Hooking up my camera to it was super easy. I just used one of my camera attachments and I was good to go. The stablizer itself is AWESOME! The handle is super comfortable to grip. Especially for long periods of time. It also is no slip which is fantastic! The stabilizer is also adjustable at the top of the handle to give me stiffer or more flowing options for recording my videos. I also LOVE that there are three counter weights which I can add or remove depending on the weight of my camera. The weight height is also adjustable to give me even more flexibility with my angles and stability through my movements. The stabilizer itself is not very heavy because it is made of alluminum alloy which is also very resistant to any damage from dropping it. Overall, I am thrilled to have the stabilizer! It really helps to improve the quality of my videos, and make me feel like a professional! I received this product at a discounted rate for my honest and unbiased review.

This is very cool, as I didn't realize how much the camera moves until I used the camera with and without this stabilizer. It will take me time to understand all of the benefits..but in general, I like this better than holding the camera with one or 2 hands. I had a duh moment when attempting to attach my camera to it. I unnecessarily removed the screw that holds the camera... The entire product is sturdy, is made well, and I think we get a good product for the money. I will be researching stabilizers further, so I can understand all of the benefits. For example, I want to know how changing the amount of weights will affect it. This is a learning process, and I'm excited to to find more ways to use my camera and get better videos/pictures. I bought this with a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
