   You can use any oil, but please follow the recommendation of using only a few drops, and fill the rest of the tank with water. Even though the straightener can get your hair "bone straight", it does not remove body, and leaves your hair feeling silky with amazing shine from the steam. The steam setting has 3 levels: off, and I guess low and high. Low steam, for me, made my hair straight, with a full appearance. I'd say that setting is great for adding volume to a "straight look". The higher steam setting got my hair super straight, but very bouncy. This straightener is phenomenal. I'm honestly amazed that it worked, and once I straighten my root area with a couple of passes, it only takes (1) pass, midshaft to ends, to get the section straight with ease. I'm loving this, and it's affordable compared to higher priced straighteners that suck for naturally textured hair.
