I've had this lamp about 5 months, having bought it for added light when using my sewing machine. It has exceeded my expectations and I love it. It can easily be focused on the sewing machine or to another area so I can do a bit of hand stitching. Its only quirk is the "dimple" switch in the base. I've learned to use the pad of a finger (rather than the tip) to turn it on, and sometimes the same finger or hand used to turn it on won't turn it off so I've learned to use either a different finger or the other hand. It is weird but I love the light so much I overlook that quirk. I've not used the USB port but it would be a nice feature on a desktop.

I did get it in the box dented section of Amazon so it was a great deal too. The adjustable levels of light turned out to be a really good feature. The only down side is the base is slated on the top so I can't put small items (paper clips, lip balm) there like I used to.
