   I bought this product to keep some swallows from building nests under the eaves near my patio. It works as designed: In front of the unit, the swallows have not built a single nest. Presumably they find the sound irritating enough to stay away. But be aware that there is a blind spot in this product! The swallows rather hilariously discovered that they can build their nest right on top, using the device as a convenient ledge, out of sight from the motion detector. Be aware of this possibility when you mount your device.

Not only were they a nuisance, but they attracted cats and other predators, crashing lots and destroying plants trying to get to the doves and their babies. Not anymore with this device.
