I put it in the center fo the apt (middle bar of the E shape layout) and can hear from my bedroom the zapping of bugs. I also use it manually for flies that are in an odd place, I just bring it close to the bug and it gets zapped easily. I use a tissue to remove any residue but usually, they fall to the grown. GREAT product, I wish I would have bought one before.

Still using in tandem with fly strips. I haven't heard or seen anything fly into it when it is turned on and sitting in the stand, but I charge it inside the house. I have had to recharge it a few times if I have just let it sit somewhere off the stand. I also bought the battery operated type for about $5 so both kids can help out and have to say both work about the same. The charging stand and " leave on" switch of this one is cool. But if you are looking to save $ the cheaper version is just as great.
