At first it was weird being on your actual eyes but it quickly started to massage with heat (optional). There is a timer so no need to fear about leaving it on. The controls are easy to use and believe me it worked amazing. Forgot to mention it has built in relaxing sounds but bluetooth connection if you wanted something more personal for sounds or music.
