   The thick pins can be flipped up and kept in a flatter position with the wall when not in use. When hooking is needed, move 1 of the 5 pins down to hold your items. It took me about 5 minutes to install. I used metal wall anchors and drywall screws. The back has a soft rubber pad to protect it and your wall.
