I can say only wow. I didn't expect such good quality. It made of hard material, I think metal. The pictures and colors are amazing. Much better than I remember from my childhood. After buying two for my granddaughters ordered one for myself. Can't stop to look inside of it, so beautiful

This kaleidoscope is of great quality and value. I wanted something my toddler could use with small hands and fingers, while producing good color. I also needed something that could be tossed around, and would be aesthetically pleasing. This meets all those requirements. The price is right, and as are all Schylling products, it's of the highest quality and just pretty to look at. The color inside is fantastic, and my little son likes looking into it. The tin is solid too. Perfect item for anyone looking for a child's classic toy!!

The kids and I fight over who gets to play with this. It is fun. Brings back memories of when I was a kid and at my Nana’s house. I homeschool my kids and we were learning about Kaleidoscopes and how they work. This one worked perfect with our lesson.We bought a cheap one and the beads just sit at the bottom and don’t move as you turn it. But this one works great. The beads turn and you see all kinds of cool shapes and colors. It is sturdy and well made.

I saw this kaleidoscope and was immediately lost in thought of my Christmases as a child back in the 50's and 60's! I bought each of my twin 4 yr old Grandchildren these and I was hoping this could come even close to the ones I used to get from Santa. When the package arrived and I opened it up I wished I had bought one for myself! First off, it's made of metal. It's easy to turn and the shapes and colors are absolutely beautiful! When we exchanged gifts and the kids opened up the kaleidoscope, of course they had no idea what it was. They were shown how to use it and they were in awe. Very happy customer... and happy Grandchildren. I'll be back to buy one for myself.2 yrs later both have stood up really well. My daughter told me the kids use them a lot!

Whatever other people put on their reviews about mssing parts, instructions etc.. I think I didn't experience those. With ours: 1. It comes with complete parts 2. It comes with instructions 3. The magnet is very strong it keeps the 2 parts together 4. It does not have dried glue on the sides 5. The quality of the toy is not superior, but good enough to play with my 3.5 yo 6. It arrived in like 2 daysToday after dinner we went for a walk to collect flowers and he sure had a blast. We had fun putting flowers inside the kaleidoscope and play with it. The one thing that I would suggest to improve the toy is to increase the size of the triangle hole thats sticks with the glass because its too thick and appearing like thick black lines.I would be happy if someone gifted us this toy!

I remember having a kaleidoscope as a kid and being fascinated with it.So naturally,as a grown up (and big kid at heart),I had to have one for old time's sake.Forget the cheap kind you might find at a dollar store,this thing is made out of tin and the quality shows,right down to the end piece that houses the plastic beads,everything looks and feels durable on this kaleidoscope.I will say though,be sure to check yours when you get it,because as some reviewers have said,they can show up with dents in them,mine has a little one right above where the two pieces connect,but luckily,it doesn't affect anything,and everything works fine.A classic toy for all ages

This item arrived on time, intact and works well, sturdy enough. We treated it gently as a scope should be. Many different colorful images. I ask people to try and repeat the same colorful image twice and they cannot. The images are like snowflakes. The images can be used as a tool for meditation, similar to Mandala. I use Kaleidoscopes to encourage relaxation in people who normally need drugs or alcohol to relax and feel safe. It takes conversations away from feelings of hopelessness back to problem solving and hope, back to discussions of how peaceful life still can be if we allow it, how joyful it still can be right now, how relaxed and adventurous. Some people like to add head phones and favorite music. Even nervous people sit in nature and feel calm and clear thinking again. I can see their breathing and body relax. The mental break, the mental reset they needed. They're finally giving themselves personal one on one self time. Afterwards people say they feel like their batteries are charged again, ready to take on problems of the world again (all without drugs or alcohol). Kaleidoscopes are like Harry Potter's different wands, due to the different color/pattern differences, each Kaleidoscope takes you on a different adventure, if you allow it. Where will you allow your imagination take you? It can be your personal spontaneous Mandala offering you your own inner personal guidance and advice for the day. Friends have given me expensive Kaleidoscopes and I'm grateful but the expensive ones are just different but not any better. Let the adventure begin, enjoy.

An awesome Kaleidoscope just like I had when I was 4-1st grade. My sister destroyed it and I wanted another one but it was cardboard and the end was like wax paper. This item I bought was tin, the end is hard plastic and inside carries the beads to make the shapes. I absolutely love it! I have had a lot of losses during the pandemic and this little thing has made me so happy. Thanks!

I was surprised to find, given the price, that the body of this item was actually made of tin, which makes it durable as well as giving it a “throwback” feel, from a time when plastic was less common. The colored items inside are of different shapes and colors, which adds variety to the images. For the price, I was expecting something cheesy, but this item is the real deal. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

The product is great and for the price there really isn't much to rival it. A kaleidoscope is just something a kid has to experience. I can't imagine getting a paper one or one that is less sturdy than this item. I would just feel terrible if it got squished and was rendered useless. This one can get squished with a really heavy grip or by being stepped on, but it holds up on drops and careless use.I wouldn't particularly rave about the designs - in my mind they were a little underwhelming - but when I scale back my expectations it really is enjoyable and you can get lost in it for a bit. I got these as a special stocking stuffer for my three and one year old but compared to their other gifts these aren't much of a draw. Still, they do sit there quietly from time to time and look through the kaleidoscopes.
