The battery connectors are small and can be a little hard to get out of their sockets on the charger and on the plane...you will need fingernails, and I am sure a kid might yank by the wires. But hard to see how this could be corrected in such a tiny little thing. Perfect for a first experience with a drone and perfect for indoor use. Easy for a 6 year old to fly. But I am sure he would rip the wires off the battery if allowed to change batteries. It does say 14+.

All other mini drones were very skittish, zooming up to the ceiling or floor with the slightest touch of the remote. If you are looking for a drone for indoors and obstacle courses - this is it! On top of that it comes with 2 extra batteries. They all have ~5 minute battery life but that's true for all small drones I had. Just recharge and swap out. The battery is also much easier to install and connect than the other drones I tested. And lastly it comes with one of the best instruction manuals I've seen. Easy to follow and organized.

However, these are incredibly easy to fly. Seriously, no skill required at all; even the 5 year old was flying it well in 2 minutes. Turn it on, push one button and it rises about 5 feet and stays there. Push the joystick and it moves in that direction, BUT HERE'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND OTHER DRONES - Let go of the joystick and it STOPS moving! It just stays there and hovers. You know how other drones would be heading for a lamp or tree and in order to stop it you have to give it counter joystick? And if you got confused as to which direction it was pointing it would dart off into the wrong direction? And hit a rock or a tree and break the propeller blade or the motor or if you were lucky it would just get stuck in a tree and you could go get a ladder and maybe knock it down with a broom and hope you didn't break it doing that? Well, with this drone those days are over.

One of the other impressive things abt the HS210 is that they, (Holy Stone) has finally figured out the correct orientation to the LEDS! Meaning the RED led is on the back and the GREEN is facing forward. This feature alone is a major improvement to many other competitors. In summary this lil drone is a must have in your fleet. Not only will it allow you to improve upon your skills but is also great to own when a friend comes over wanting to learn!!! It's easy enough to fly that my 5-year old can pair/unpair/recalibrate the radio, fly in basic directions, and do flips and it has enough speed and precision of control that I can have fun with it too. Each battery lasts about 10 minutes, depending on the governor setting used, and it's light enough that I don't have to worry [too much] about my son destroying my big screen TV while flying in the house. The three batteries that they came with are fairly quick charging, with the included double-charger, that they last just about long enough for uninterrupted play. It is a bit too light to fly outdoors with great control, but that's to be expected from such a small drone. Out of all of the mini drones that I own (about 15 or so), these are definitely the best!

They are well build and can handle normal crashes. We did have an episode where my 5 year old forced the battery connection backwards and fried the board, but co-signer service was good enough to send a replacement immediately!     It was smaller than I expected, but the controller is a normal size so it's pretty easy to use. It has a 3-speed control, hovers and you can flip it which is really fun to see. It comes with 2 extra rechargeable batteries that fit into a small device which you plug into any USB port and takes about 30+ minutes to charge. The battery lasts maybe 15-20 minutes depending on use, but you can plug in the other batteries to get longer flying time. You will know the battery needs charging when the drone doesn't respond normally. You should unplug the battery from the drone to preserve the battery when not in use. It lights up green for the front and red for the back so the orientation is forward with the green light. Be careful flying when windy as it's very lightweight and good gust could take it away.
