   I have a 81 lb American Bully who os terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms. When he gets scared he either hides in the bath tub, under our pillows if we are trying to sleep, or in the couch. And tou can forget going outside to go potty if the neighbors are shooting off anything remotely like a firework. I ordered the shirt 4 days ago and have had it for 2 days. I first put it on him during the day when things were calm as my vet suggested. I will say i got him the xl and it was a bit big so i did order him the large and am hoping that will be a better fit. Aside from the larger than expected fit it worked lile a charm. He even went outside and was rolling around in the grass when fireworks were going off in the neighborhood last night. Tonight he is sleeping on his own bed with his brother and not under our pillows. Doesn't even notice the fireworks.

   The Mellow Shirt Dog Anxiety Calming Wrap by Mellow Pet LLC is a great product that I would recommend to anyone with a small dog with anxiety problems. My dog's anxiety during storms or rain has been getting worse with age. He is to the point where he can't stop pacing and his heavy breathing even when it rains. It is almost unbearable because you can't stand to hear him pant and pace and not be able to help him. He didn't sleep, if it was storming or even if it was raining. I have heard people suggest using a calming wrap before, but I was unsure. Finally, I purchases this wrap as a last resort and I wish I would have purchase this a lot sooner. It works like magic! My dog no longer breathes heavily or paces during storms. You can tell he still has some anxiety, but it is nothing in compared to what we are used to. I would recommend this product to any small dog owner that has been dealing with anxiety during storms or anxiety at all!

   When I received these wraps--they were lightweight enough that I pretty much figured I had made a bad purchase--chalking it up as a loss. That was until the evening of July 4th. The fireworks and explosions began and my dogs went crazy--no way to calm them down. My neighbor was visiting and was as surprised as I was. I remembered the wraps and began putting them on my two "littles". My one dog was so upset, he growled and even snapped at me as I attempted to wrap him. No kidding, within less than two minutes after I got them wrapped up, the growling one was curled up on his favorite pillow and my other "little" was curled on my lap. For another 30-40 minutes they stayed in those same positions--celebrations still going on outside. (Course, yes, I did have the TV going) At bedtime, they were zonked right out on my bed--even though fireworks and noises were just outside my home. I was in error with my first judgment. These wraps did their magic!

   We were given a 3 year old German Shepard a couple months ago. Turns out she is scared of rain and terrified of storms. She is an inside fur baby but still panics if it's not mostly sunny. This shirt arrived on a Sunday. I put in on her emmediately to make sure it fit and that she wouldnt be bothered by it when it was actually needed. She took a nap. Very early the following Tuesday morning, apparently it began raining. We were sound asleep when she raced thru the house, jumped in the bed, front paws (and claws) landing directly on Hubs face! He jumped out the bed so she emmediately decided I would have to be her thunder buddy! So hub put the shirt on her quickly and within minutes she was off the bed and on her favorite spot of the bedroom floor where she slept the rest of the night. So glad we have this. Though we are in tn, we are predicted to get some nasty nasty form hurricane Irma and the fur baby will definitely be wearing this til it passes!

   We have 2 dogs. I bought a small and a medium. This review is about the medium because that dog needed it more. He is terrified of thunder. He hides under whatever he can find and visibly shakes. We were experiencing daily thunderstorms, so I took a chance. The first time I put the shirt on him, he was a bit skiddish since it was something new. No thunderstorms that day, but I wanted them to get used to it. However, before I could take it off (the recommended time length), a thunderstorm occurred. They wore the shirts all afternoon and night with no problems. The company claims an 80% success rate. I think my dogs had about an 80% reduction in stress. Although he still hid under the table, he relaxed and went to sleep. The next thunderstorm, I grabbed the shirt, called them, and they came running. NO fuss putting the shirts on the dogs. Yes, they like the shirts! My only complaint is that the colors (1 in green and 1 in red) are very dull and washed-out looking compared with the photos. I guess it is ok; the dogs don't care.

   The Mellow shirt is soft and comfortable for my dog. He is a 60 pound hound mix, we bought size Large, it fits well. He has thunder and car ride anxiety. We had thunder all night last night. It started in the early evening. We put Tilt into the shirt at this time. He was still running around barking at the thunder for about 15 minutes. Then he calmed down to watch tv on the couch with us. At bed time he was hesitant but not nuts. I slept through the night. He did not have the shaking he usually exhibits through the night. In addition my other dog and my cat also had a much better night. Tilt's anxiety must rub off on them and like wise his lack of anxiety lessened their anxiety. I am really curious if this shirt will work for car rides. The shirt is appropriate for our warm climate. I am not sure that this is a life time product because the material is soft and light. However, it seems to do the trick and my animals are hard on their belongings. I am quite satisfied with the product. I will revisit this review to tell if the shirt works for car rides. Danno's wife
