There's no loops falling off their pegs, doesn't require too much force, collapses with both diffusion sheets attached. Really great soft box, I also own the 60" version and these are easily my favorite. Super soft light, easy to assemble, durable, lightweight, consistent. I've been super happy with these and would definitely recommend them to anyone

   Super easy to assemble and disassemble, lightweight, portable, and great for interviews where you want a big light source for your subject.I've used these on a few shoots so far and they are the fastest soft light source I've ever worked with, requires very minimal time and effort, and are easy to adjust and move around.I also like that the mount can be swapped out with just about any common light mount so if I change lighting types these softboxes will still be good.

   Quality of this softbox is pretty good. I set them up and did some tests shots and did not detect and color casts or anything as a couple people have mentioned. Setup is really quick and easy, as once you put the diffusers on you can leave them on. The ribs are metal so I could see how the softbox could possibly be bent if handled harshly. However the price is decent and in the event this happens I will just purchase a replacement. I bought the 48” and 36” and like them both.

   I bet I find myself using this a lot since it will fit in most of all my camera bags. It's big enough to put on a stand with a flash for extra lighting. But small enough to have on camera while doing simple portraits or snapping pictures. Very versatile and handy in my opinion. The construction of the softbox itself is far better than I expected for the price.For the price I can't complain about the flimsy case. If I was buying it for the case I would be disappointed, luckily I did not.

   I am really impressed. It is light, structurally strong, fast to setup, and the beauty dish it comes with spreads evenly despite its size. You may want to change the washers that retain the speed ring by 1 mm diameter larger ones. That's all. I ordered the egg crate that fits it. In small soft boxes, a grid does produce harder light. In large soft boxes it just prevents the light from spreading to walls and objects that may change the color of a bounced source without affecting the softness on the subject. It all fits into the original bag.

   I can think of absolutely nothing negative to say about this product. It sets up and breaks down in a flash. My studio is in my home and the room is multi purpose so the majority of the time it is collapsed. When collapsed its about the same length as a golf umbrella and about 4 times the girth, I can easily tuck it away. I leave the internal and outer diffuser panels attached when I put it away, and when I need to get it out I can pull it out of its case and have it deployed and on my stand in 90 seconds or less. It does exactly what an octobox of this size should, and beautifully diffuses directional light down on my subjects. I do wish I had the grid for it, the version I purchased didn't come with it, but it isn't the end of the world. I haven't noticed any significant color temperature anomolies.Overall, fantastic product, does exactly what it should and seems quite durable.

As there are no instructions, I watched the Youtube video that showed to adjust the center column. I finished setting it up with ease. I now plan on buying an even larger one..

So if you are in a bedroom, expect it to take up a lot of room.I actually chose to use this with the Newer SL-60w light instead of the Aperture 120d. I understand the newer has a few (small) limitations compared to the 120d, however the amount of money is a big win. Your choice will be upon your use case.VERY GOOD PURCHASE.
