   I bought it with the sensor, and it is sensitive. It can read from about 10 feet away, and even if you move slightly at all it will sense it and turn on. Definitely put this is a place where only the cats usually go, or at least put it where you wouldn't mind it turning on all the time. I currently have it in my kitchen and if anyone is in the kitchen at all it'll be on. I don't mine too much since its pretty quiet and the cats do like it. My cat Saber loves to drink from the sink and this kinda looks like his own mini sink that turns on and off as he pleases (Spoiled brat lol).

   Both of my boys are obsessed with water. Water glasses, the shower, the sink, puddles...they love it all. My younger one loves drinking from the faucet, so this seemed like a great alternative to letting the water run until Mr Man decides he’s over it. This was super easy to assemble and is fairly quiet for what it is. I highly recommend getting the sensor. It easily detects movement from at least 10 ft away, and in all directions, and the obvious benefit is power conservation. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to hear the noise of the fountain, I would recommend placing it a room that doesn’t have a lot of activity as the sensor is quite sensitive.

Very quiet, practically silent, and the cat loves it, I always see her coming up to it and drinking. I purchase the sensor as well and it's great.

   My cat has no issues drinking out of it. The moment I set it up she went for a drink. I like this smaller design because it can be easily refilled by taking it to the filtered water out of the fridge door. I had a larger model before thinking I wouldn't need to refill it as much but it was bulky and a pain to walk around. The fountain stand is much higher than I thought it'd be.

   I love this water fountain, it was easy to clean, assemble, and I love the fact that I can see everything inside. My cat has definitely been drinking more water! I do clean it once a week, the filter is good and captures any gunk. I do use filtered water, someone else in the house used faucet water and there was some built up around the top, it was easy wash. I love this filter so much that I have bought 4 additional as gifts. The price is great and delivery was fast. It is not silent, but the sounds of water do not bother me. If I had to take away a star is that you need to provide a box for the outlet for the usb cable. But I used some old charger cube.

   My 3 cats and 2 dogs all love this water fountain. It makes a nice bubbling sound, and it’s clear so I can see when I need to refill it. Our prior flower fountain was continually running out of water because I couldn’t tell how low the water was, and the pump burned out. This one sounds like a gurgling creek, very pleasant. My only small complaint is that the directions are TERRIBLE. Do yourself a favor: buy this fountain, throw away the enclosed instructions, and go to YouTube for videos on how to put it together. There are several, and they are much easier to follow that these poorly written instructions. Five stars for the fountain, zero stars for the instructions.

   I have had many cat fountains over the years and this is by far my favorite. I recently needed a new one because our cat was diagnosed with diabetes. He acted like he could not get enough water from the previous foutain. He loves running water but the stream was just not enough and being diabetic, he needed more water. I was still needing something that gave the fountain effect but also a collection pool of water so he could choose. He absolutely loves this foutain. I also like (I think he does too) how high the fountain spout is. It looks much more comfortable to drink from than all the other foutains I have ever used. I also really appreciate that it's clear and I can monitor the water levels easily. Definitely recommend this fountain!

I figured since be likes to drink from a dripping faucet or a wide bowl of water, that this fountain might just work. And bingo! He loves it! The fountain is pretty quiet when using the lower height but pretty splashy and loud at max height. Very pleased overall!
