This was a gift from my husband for Christmas. I really love unique pieces of décor! This was smaller than I had hoped, but it was exactly what was labeled. The piece of wood (base) is solid. The glass is thick and sturdy. There is an adequate amount of magnetic material inside of the glass. My son plays with it under supervision (he is five years old) and as long as he isn't rough, I don't have to worry about it breaking.
