Works well for 4+ months, if you remove the pokey and chokey parts. Our 4MO baby loved the pieces still in plastic. And still loves out of the plastic at 6+ months.

This is a good set however the sticks are connected to the ball with glue so it is a choking hazard. I wouldnâ€™t use unsupervised. Other than the sticks, the set it well made. The tambourine is strong and has held up to baby abuse. The bells seem to be screwed on tight but still makes me a little nervous. So like I said, great product but for structured SUPERVISED play.

He giggled and made so much noise. My little one is 10 months old and not all the instruments are age appropriate for him just yet. So I intently supervise when he plays with them. They are well made, and come in a little pouch. All of them are made from real wood. The paint on them is very vibrant. But it really made us all smile that he loved playing with them and making all the noise he could. These are 100% worth the purchase just seeing my little one smile. I recommend this for anyone with a small child.

This is for an older infant. The problem with that is the pieces are definitely smaller than you'd think. I didn't think before I bought it but the xylophone sticks are definitely a choking hazard if your little one likes to explore with their mouth so be careful. The maracas are great also a little small so becauseful as your little one gets a little bigger and start to actually teeth. I honestly do not recommend giving the sizing circle toy to your baby ever just because the small to smallest pieces are pretty small. The instruments that are good are great just a couple of maybes.

When I first opened these, I was disappointed because they look handmade. You can see the glue between the keys and wood on the xylophone. Also, the wood on the xylophone isn't sanded down to be smooth around the edges, so i'm afraid my son will scratch himself. However, the quality and the sound of each piece is great! The tambourine and bells are loud, the maracas are well created, and the xylophone is a great size for my 7-month-old! Overall I'm happy with the product, even though they *look* like something an artistic neighbor could've made.

The real recommend age as the warnings say on this and the packaging is 3 years due to small parts, the stacking toy is too small for a baby but the instruments are great WITH DIRECT SUPERVISION , as the bells can fit in a babies mouth and are actual metal which could hurt a teether

The little piece came off on the clicker as you can see in the picture. The sticks used on the xylophone are so small and a definite choking hazard. The xylophone itself is sharp. I do not recommend this product.
