The lights are clear and colorful and she loves the place it so the rainbow is shining over her bed as though her beds it's under the rainbow.some reviews that the rainbow doesn't work, the only thing I can reply is that they must not be using it properly. It's very simple to use, just put the batteries in. Push the start button and it lights up. You can move it to different locations against the wall close to the wall or farther from the wall and it's beautiful!! happy for this product, and I will be ordering a bunch more of these as birthday gifts in the future!!

There were mixed reviews, but as far as we can see, this is great. We have slanted ceilings which may help: The light casts a perfectly clear rainbow across my daughter's room. The only drawback is that the timer turns the light off after only ten minutes and it takes longer than that for my daughter to fall asleep. But she turns it back on herself and is off to sleep soon after; this is not enough of a problem to give less than 5 stars.

This is one of the most enchanting items I've bought for my daughter. It casts a wonderful rainbow across her room, day or night. But it does show up better at night. The colors are bright and crisp and you can move it around and adjust it for size, clarity, and depth. Actually bought this for my 6 year old son. He LOVES it. It does go through batteries fairly fast and turns itself off after about ten minutes. We went through various adapters we already had and found one that would work with the rainbow projected. Solved both problems - doesn't eat batteries and can now stay on all night. It should just come with a cord, honestly. It has two settings where it turns on all the colors of the rainbow at once, or the second setting where it turns on red first and then adds each color to the rainbow one at a time. VERY simple but still enjoyable as a nightlight.

The light didn't come with an adapter, but an ordinary household adapter will work (I'm using the adapter from an old baby monitor, before that my husband's electric shaver adapter fit). The light stays on all night, and MOST IMPORTANTLY: the product doesn't get hot, ever. If it's been on all night or a few hours, it doesn't get hot - which makes me feel safe leaving it on all night for when my daughter wakes up. As a parent, I judge this a great product and am currently looking for the others to purchase.

My daughter loves it!When I first bought this, I didn't know that it did not come with an AC adapter. So I thought, okay, I'll use batteries for the time being...it sucked. The rainbow was so dimmed. I thought I got a malfunctioned one so I was going to return but I thought that I should purchase an AC adapter, which I did and when I got it and plugged it in, the rainbow was so bright. My daughter was loving it even more! She can go to bed on her own now without having the tv on as her back up light (because her actual night light doesn't help her either lol) I love it. It basically does a color spectrum with lighting that reflects onto the wall of the room it is facing, and creates a beautiful rainbow. Obviously, the darker it is in the room, the better it is seen, but it still works when there is a nightlight or lamp on (which she has). It does NOT come with batteries, and it takes 4 AAA batteries (just FYI). The compartment is also screwed shut but easy to get open with a Phillips.

The unit feels a little fragile or easily-breakable however we have just put it on top the dresser and don't have any problems. The light fades out after about 15 minutes or so. The rainbow won't show up on walls if there is much light in the room but is bright in dark rooms. The rainbow shows up best on walls without picture frames or other decorations that make it hard for the rainbow to show up. I would recommend this for any child who loves rainbows or wants something different than a traditional nightlight.

This is in my 2yr olds room she loves her rainbow and her 4yr old brother is a bit jealous I think! Its a basic small item and easy to use. Yet to find the best spot to position it and we have coloured walls so the colours are a bit different I think that it would be on white but the kids love it and its a good fun thing to do before bed. LOVE how it turns off automatically so you don't have to go back in but I usually do much later to properly turn it off. Can be plugged in as well but needs an adapter bought separately to do that.

Ours came to us quickly and after ready the reviews I was a little hesitant that mine wouldn't work as well, but it does!! My daughter wants me to turn it on every time she goes to bed. The nice thing about it is that it goes off in 10 minutes so its not wasting the batteries. I like the 10 minutes because I tell my 2 year old that after the 10 minutes is up, its time for your bedtime, and sure enough she is sleeping once it turns off. The only thing I noticed is that her rainbow has all the colors except green, not sure if everyones is like that or just mine.
